Type 1 defaults to 48px text; Type 2 defaults to 64px. Each mode remembers its own size. Type 2 line width uses ch. The film crawl resets to the opening (BYTEFERN…) when you switch to Type 2, change Type 2 size, or when a loop finishes.

Perspective text crawlers were a hallmark of Amiga and Atari ST demos — TCB's "The Cuddly Demos" (1989) made the floor-plane vanishing-point effect iconic. Text lines shrink and dim as they recede to the horizon; near lines glow lime and jitter, far lines fade to dark cyan. This build runs on a single Canvas 2D context with a starfield background, scanline overlay, and ByteFern's signature green-to-cyan palette.
